Stories that caught my eye looking at the news today. Yes, I'm really bored and lacking motivation here at work today.

Boy Scout earns all 121 merit badges - Now that's pretty impressive. You only need 21 to reach Eagle. I don't know how many I got as a Scout (I'd have to go home and count the number on my sash), but I know it wasn't much above 21.

Real life superheroes - Can you say Watchmen? Who knew there was a World Super Hero Registry?!

Name that beer!

I need some help. My latest beer is finally ready to drink and I need a good name for it.

Dennis and Casey helped me bottle this beer on 12/7. The beer is an attempt at a spiced "holiday" ale. It's got honey, orange peel, cinnamon, and some ginger in it. It's got a pretty good flavor. Light and sweet. I think I can taste some of the orange.

Anyway, the name on the recipe was "Winter Warmer" and I've just been calling it my holiday beer. "Winter Warmer" doesn't exactly follow the precedent established by my last beer, the Ol' Scrot Porter. I need a better name than wussy warmer for this beer. You know, something like Reindeer Butt Beer.

Next up in the beer queue is to remake the holiday beer with some cloves in it this time. And then a cherry wheat for Adam. I still need to figure out how to make hard cider for Jeremy if I can.

You know, I've been thinking about my previous post. The one where the guy gets his bid exactly right in the Final Showcase on The Price Is Right. He wins both showcases because he gets within $250 of his prize. But if you get your bid exactly right in the Final Showcase, shouldn't you get something more than both showcases? There needs to be a $5 million bonus or something! I mean if you get your bid exactly right on contestant's row to get up on stage you get a $500 bonus. How much more impressive (or lucky) is it to get your Final Showcase bid exactly right?!

Club Sandwich

This post is mainly for my brother, Adrian, who will probably never even see this blog. Adrian heard Mitch Hedberg give his club sandwich bit on a XM radio comedy channel one day. He told the bit to me and had me rolling on the floor.



I propose that baconnaise be added to the club! All in favor, say aye!

Juicy

Holy crap! It's been a long time since I posted anything. I don't really know why I've neglected my blog so long. It's not like random and idiotic thoughts have stopped coming to me. Those come non-stop. I guess I have been busy lately, what with training the Malaysians and all.

So, earlier this week I was in a meeting at work. This was a standing weekly meeting that my boss had set up for 8:30 AM. So 8:40 AM rolls around and guess who the only person not in the room was. Yep. My boss. How do you forget to come to your own meeting?

While waiting for the boss to arrive one of my co-workers said he was at a party over the weekend and heard one guy say the following to another guy, "You're beard is so juicy! Can I touch it?"

Yep. I thought it pretty much sounded "the gay", too. But what's worse? Calling the guy's beard juicy? Or trying to touch another dude's beard?
